Green Label for Hydraulic Cement

  Khun Arnon Janyam, Working Group TCMA-Product Standard, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) presented technical viewpoints in the 2/ 2024 Technical Sub-committee Meeting to raise hydraulic cement be a green label under project ‘Scaling Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP) Eco-labelling and Sustainable Public Procurement (SSP) for a Low-carbon Pathway in ASEAN (Advance SCP II), organized by Thailand Environment Institute (TEI) in cooperation with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

Third Progress Study to Decarbonize Cement Manufacturing

The team of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA)- led by Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai, Chair of Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology and the team of Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy- led by Dr. Saravanee Singtong, Director of Sustainable Policy Division provided technical advice to the team of Nomura Research Institute Thailand-led by Khun Kraiwin Lertsakornsiri, Senior Consultant of Consulting Department in the 3rd progress report of carbon dioxide (CO2) to methanol with aims at decarbonization in cement manufacturing.

Fourth Meeting in 2024 of Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology

Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) members’ representative attended 4/2024 meeting of Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology, chaired by Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai. The meeting discussed on work progress and related matters to reach goal as set ‘leveraging innovation for energy transition of cement industry’, including the grant green fund from Canada government through UNIDO to help decarbonizing of cement and concrete sectors in Thailand.
