Strengthen Collaboration with Ministry of Commerce

Khun Rapee Sukhyanga, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), on behalf of TCMA Board led the team took a New Year occasion in extending season’s greeting to Khun Keerati Rushchano, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Commerce. In this regard, progress of cement climate actions through stakeholders’ collaboration has been informed. MoC confirmed the strong position for continuing collaboration in driving Thailand target of greenhouse gas emission reduction-clinker substitution.

Third Progress Study to Decarbonize Cement Manufacturing

The team of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA)- led by Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai, Chair of Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology and the team of Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy- led by Dr. Saravanee Singtong, Director of Sustainable Policy Division provided technical advice to the team of Nomura Research Institute Thailand-led by Khun Kraiwin Lertsakornsiri, Senior Consultant of Consulting Department in the 3rd progress report of carbon dioxide (CO2) to methanol with aims at decarbonization in cement manufacturing.

Fourth Meeting in 2024 of Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology

Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) members’ representative attended 4/2024 meeting of Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology, chaired by Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai. The meeting discussed on work progress and related matters to reach goal as set ‘leveraging innovation for energy transition of cement industry’, including the grant green fund from Canada government through UNIDO to help decarbonizing of cement and concrete sectors in Thailand.
