First Meeting in 2019 of TCMA-Working Committee on Mining and Mineral Resources

January 24, 2019: Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) members’ representative attended 1/2019 meeting of Working Committee on Mining and Mineral Resources-Chaired by Khun Tinnakorn Kokkhour. The meeting noted on achievement of 2018 activities and identified 2019 activities to come along with TCMA’s policy and link with National Master Plan on Mineral Management under Mineral Act B.E. 2560.

Expected Research Outcomes

January 21, 2019: Khun Siva Mahasandana, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led members attended in the special session of research project on “Socio-Economic and Environmental Impact Assessment of Cement Production in Thailand”, organized by research team of Chulalongkorn University-led by Associate Professor Dr. Pinyo Meechamna. This special session was a platform for TCMA’s members and research team to discuss and exchange views on relevant pertinent issues in research framework on economic, environment, society and generate insights and provide suggestions for cement industry to come up with strategic and coordinated response to address challenges from the policy and related situations.

Cement Industry and Mechanism for GHG Reduction

December 7, 2018: Khun Phattharawan Sukkantharak, General Manager of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) welcomed 40 representatives of TCMA members to the seminar on ‘Thai Cement Industry and Mechanism for GHG Reduction’. TCMA-Working Committee on Environment arranged this successful seminar in cooperation with Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) with aims to update TCMA members on carbon price mechanism and measurement, reporting, verification (MRV) system, including greenhouse gas reduction technology in cement industry.

November 9, 2018: Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) by Working Committee on Environment welcomed research team from Unisearch of Chulalongkorn University at TCMA office.
