Cement Industry Actions to Address Goal 13 of Global Agenda-Climate Change

  April 6, 2018: Speaking at the 25th ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) Technical Symposium & Exhibition, hosted by Indonesia Cement Association (ICA) on April 6, 2018 at Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung-West Java, Indonesia, Khun Apichit Akarapattangkul, Plant Director of Asia Cement Public Company Limited, one of TCMA’s members shared Thai experience on ‘Waste Heat Recovery’ to participants.

Due to high energy consumption of cement industry, WHR power generation can be made advantages not only for industry itself by saving on production cost and enhancing plant power sustainability but also addressing to Goal 13 of global agenda by reduction CO2  emission.

AFCM 21st Conference

October 31, 2019: Khun Siva Mahasandana, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led its members participated in ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers Association (AFCM) 21st Conference, hosted by Cement and Concrete Association of Singapore (CNCAS). In the meeting, the transfer of the posts was confirmed by the presentation of the Certificates of Election to the incoming AFCM President, Dato’ Yeoh Soo Keng of the Cement and Concrete Association of Malaysia (C&CA) and incoming AFCM Vice-President, Mr. Cirilo M. Pestano II of Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines, Inc. by the outgoing AFCM President, Mr. Widodo Santoso of Indonesia Cement Association (ICA). C&CA will serve as the AFCM secretariat during 2019 – 2021.

Technical Cooperation with ASEAN Members

October 17, 2018: Agreeable to further develop key emission indicators as a guideline for cement industry improvement is the outstanding results of the Standing Committee on Technical Cooperation (SC-TC) meeting, ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers Association (AFCM) chaired by Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) as SC-TC country coordinator during the AFCM 42nd Council Meeting, hosted by Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (CeMAP), Inc. at Movenpick Hotel Mactan Island, Cebu, the Philippines.

TCMA to Host AFCM 2023 with a Focus on “ASEAN Cement Collaboration towards Decarbonization”

November 23-25, 2023, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), on behalf of Thailand, is honored to host the ASEAN Federation of Cement Manufacturers 44th Council Meeting (AFCM) under the theme “ASEAN Cement Collaboration towards Decarbonization” on November 23-25, 2023 in Bangkok. The delegates from seven AFCM member countries are attending the meeting; namely Butra HeidelbergCement Sdn Bhd, Indonesia Cement Association (ICA), The Cement & Concrete Association of Malaysia (C&CA), Cement Manufacturers’ Association of the Philippines, Inc. (CeMAP), Cement & Concrete Association of Singapore (CNCAS), Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), and Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA), including Cambodia Cement Manufacturers Association (CCMA) as observer for the first-time to integrate and further strengthen the cooperation among cement manufacturers in ASEAN.
