Show & Share Closure Plan Seminar

Thai Cement Manufacturers Association by Working Group on Mineral and Natural Resources organized a seminar on "Show & Share: Closure Plan" on June 26, 2013 at Siam Cement (Kaeng Khoi) Co.,Ltd., Saraburi province. There were approximately 40 mining engineers from member companies attending the seminar.

During the seminar, participants gained knowledge from Mr. Somwang Witayapanyanond, Senior Engineer from SCG Cement Co.,Ltd., who gave a presentation on "Mine Closure Plan in Li Mine" and from Mr. Chat Hongtiamchant, Director of Bureau of Environmental Management, Department of Primary Industries and Mines on the topic of "Mine Closure Plan". In addition, the participants had an opportunity to visit a rehabilitation mining site of Siam Cement (Kaeng Khoi) Co.,Ltd.

This activity is one of Working Group on Mineral and Natural Resources' activities in order to share experiences and knowledge on the closure plan, especially in terms of rehabilitation and proper management after the mines are closed.
