Technical Discussion with Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning on ‘Go Green with Hydraulic Cement’

  June 26, 2019: Khun Phattharawan Sukkantharak, General Manager of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and its members joined force with Thailand Concrete Association (TCA), headed by the President-Gp. Capt. Assoc. Prof. Thanakorn Pheeraphan, Ph.D. discussed on technical matter of hydraulic cement application in construction with Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning-led by Khun Vichit Aroonmanakun, Director of Department of Support and Development According to City Plan as Head of Working Study Group.

‘Hydraulic Cement’ is an environmentally friendly product with greenhouse gas emission reduction. Project on ‘Go Green with Hydraulic Cement' has been campaigned since 2017 in both public and private sectors to ensure of cement production process be contributed to the achievement of Thailand Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) Roadmap on Mitigation 2021 – 2030 and respond to global challenges on environment for sustainable growth.

‘Go Green with Hydraulic Cement’ -- Thailand Contribution to Goal 13 of Global Agenda-Climate Action

December 24, 2019: Members of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and the representatives of Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning (DTP), Ministry of Interior observed the performance testing of hydraulic cement, an environmentally friendly product with greenhouse gas emission reduction at the laboratory of Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology (SIIT). TCMA requested DTP pursue bold actions to use hydraulic cement in public construction projects in order to achieve the country target, particularly in the sector of Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU).
