Session on Carbon Emission Trading Scheme

Khun Monwikan Kajohnboon, Secretary of Working Group TCMA-Environment and Climate Action, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led the team attended consultation session on carbon emission trading scheme (ETS) as compulsory, organized by Thailand Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in collaboration with Joint Graduate School of Energy and Environment (JGSEE) King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).

TCMA-UNIDO-GCCA Collaboration to Decarbonize Cement and Concrete Sectors in Thailand

The joint discussion among Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA)-led by Dr. Chana Poomee, TCMA Chairman, UNIDO Headquarter -led by Ms. Rasha Abdrabu, UNIDO's Project Coordinator, and Global Cement and Concrete Association-led by Mr. Thomas Guillot, GCCA Chief Executive has been organized to find tune the first year of project action under Canada grant green fund to accelerate decarbonizing Thai cement and concrete sectors in alignment with Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap and Thailand's Nationally Determined Contribution Roadmap on Mitigation.

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and Khun Rapee Sukhyanga, TCMA Vice-Chairman and Secretary-General welcomed Prof. Dr. Thanakorn Pheeraphan, Deputy Director of Graduate Studies Office, Navaminda Kasatriyadhiraj Royal Thai Air Force Academy (NKRAFA) on the occasion of congratulation to TCMA received Award of Outstanding Leadership 2024 and Award of Excellence Trade Association 2024 from Ministry of Commerce.

With Deep Appreciations

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), on behalf of TCMA received token of appreciations from Prof. Dr. Thanakorn Pheeraphan, Deputy Director of Graduate Studies Office, Navaminda Kasatriyadhiraj Royal Thai Air Force Academy (NKRAFA) who delivered on behalf of NKRAFA to thanks TCMA’s support to Royal Thai Air Force initiative ‘NKRAFA: Unite for Increasing Green Space’, in honour of the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary and also the successful launching ceremony of 2,567 trees planting activity to increase green space at NKRAFA and as a part of SARABURI SANDBOX LOW CARBON CITY, presided over by Air Chief Marshal Phanpakdee Pattanakul and Saraburi Governor Buncha Chaovarin.
