Cement Industry Responds Thailand NDC Roadmap

On behalf of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA), Khun Phattharawan Sukkantharak, TCMA Executive Director and Khun Monwikan Kajohnboon, Secretary of Working Group TCMA-Environment attended 2/ 2024 Working Committee on Inventory and Measures to Reduce Greenhouse Gas: Sector Industrial Process and Product Use (IPPU) to update cement industry contribution on GHG reduction for Thailand NDC target, chaired by Dr. Phirun Saiyasitpanich, Director-General of Department of Climate Change and Environment (DCCE) as National Secretariat of Climate Change Coordination.

TCMA Board of Directors Meeting

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) welcomed Board of Directors and members to 3/2024 TCMA Board of Directors Meeting. Work progress of each working group in line with the TCMA’s policy focus has been reported, including in-house matters of cement industry brought into discussion. TCMA is cement manufacturer-led, Thai leading cement manufacturers coalition advocating for cement industry being basic infrastructure of the country development, becoming environmentally friendly industry, committing to social responsibilities engagement and leading towards sustainable development.

Focus Group on Thailand Taxonomy-Construction and Manufacturing Sector

Khun Monwikan Kajohnboon, Secretary of Working Group TCMA-Environment and Climate Action, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led the team presented cement industry point of views in focus group on Thailand Taxonomy-construction and manufacturing sector to review technical screening criteria, organized by Working Committee on Thailand Taxonomy in collaborating with Department of Climate Change and Environment, Bank of Thailand, Stock Exchange of Thailand, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
