Second Meeting in 2024 of Working Group TCMA on Sustainability

Dr. Wonchalerm Chalodhorn, Chair Working Group TCMA on Sustainability, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) called on 2/2024 meeting of Working Group TCMA on Sustainability together with Working Group TCMA on Green Mining and Stakeholder Engagement- led by Khun Tinnakorn Kokkhour, Working Group TCMA-Operational Excellence and Energy Transition-led by Khun Attawoot Klainin for synchronize the actions among the three working groups for cement industry reaching the  goal as set ‘research and development of new low-carbon cement ‘calcined clay cement’ after a successful transition to hydraulic cement-a low carbon cement.

TCMA Board of Directors Meeting

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) welcomed Board of Directors and members to 3/2024 TCMA Board of Directors Meeting. Work progress of each working group in line with the TCMA’s policy focus has been reported, including in-house matters of cement industry brought into discussion. TCMA is cement manufacturer-led, Thai leading cement manufacturers coalition advocating for cement industry being basic infrastructure of the country development, becoming environmentally friendly industry, committing to social responsibilities engagement and leading towards sustainable development.

Focus Group on Thailand Taxonomy-Construction and Manufacturing Sector

Khun Monwikan Kajohnboon, Secretary of Working Group TCMA-Environment and Climate Action, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led the team presented cement industry point of views in focus group on Thailand Taxonomy-construction and manufacturing sector to review technical screening criteria, organized by Working Committee on Thailand Taxonomy in collaborating with Department of Climate Change and Environment, Bank of Thailand, Stock Exchange of Thailand, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.
