Collaboration with UNIDO to Accelerate Decarbonization in Cement and Concrete Sectors in Thailand

Khun Surachai Vangrattanachai, Chair Working Group TCMA on Innovation and Technology, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and members discussed with the team of UNIDO Thailand-led by Dr. Uma Wirutskulshai, National Project Coordinator of UNIDO in Thailand on way forward of joint works under grant green fund valued CAD 8 million to help decarbonize Thai cement and concrete sectors, contributing to reducing emissions and meeting a Net Zero Future in partnership with Ministry of Industry and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

TCMA-UNIDO-GCCA Collaboration to Decarbonize Cement and Concrete Sectors in Thailand

The joint discussion among Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA)-led by Dr. Chana Poomee, TCMA Chairman, UNIDO Headquarter -led by Ms. Rasha Abdrabu, UNIDO's Project Coordinator, and Global Cement and Concrete Association-led by Mr. Thomas Guillot, GCCA Chief Executive has been organized to find tune the first year of project action under Canada grant green fund to accelerate decarbonizing Thai cement and concrete sectors in alignment with Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap and Thailand's Nationally Determined Contribution Roadmap on Mitigation.
