TCMA’s Members Intensity Work to Ensure Full Implementation of Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap

All working group members of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) joined force in TCMA Dialogue Workshop 1/ 2024 to brainstorm and examine key issues and important next steps in each area of the cement industry towards Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap and also actions to drive for TCMA’s policy achievement in 4 focus areas during 2024-2026: - 1) CLIMATE CHANGE, 2) RESOURCE USE, 3) CIRCULAR ECONOMY, and 4) ENERGY TRANSITION. The workshop be honoured by Dr. Chana Poomee, TCMA Chairman to open the session. 

TCMA is cement manufacturer-led, Thai leading cement manufacturers coalition advocating for cement industry being basic infrastructure of the country development, becoming environmentally friendly industry, committing to social responsibilities engagement and leading towards sustainable development.

Khun Monwikan Kajohnboon, Secretary of Working Group TCMA-Environment and Climate Action, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) led the team presented cement industry point of views in focus group on Thailand Taxonomy-construction and manufacturing sector to review technical screening criteria, organized by Working Committee on Thailand Taxonomy in collaborating with Department of Climate Change and Environment, Bank of Thailand, Stock Exchange of Thailand, and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) members’ representative attended 3/ 2024 virtual meeting of Working Group TCMA on Circular Economy, chaired by Khun Teerapol Tirawasin. The meeting discussed on action detail and related matters to reach goal as set ‘building an integrated ecosystem and turning waste to value through cement production process according to bio-green-circular economy’.
