Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) reaffirmed its commitment in responding the global call for urgent action to address land restoration, halting desertification and building drought resilience on World Environment Day 2024 with slogan “Our Land, Our Future. TCMA has placed the environment at the forefront of its agenda with TCMA policy designed to synergize the actions towards Net Zero 2050 with all stakeholders make a net positive contribution to nature by minimizing the environmental footprint while maximizing the value for all stakeholders. Key focus areas: - 1) CLIMATE CHANGE: Research and Development of New Low-Carbon Cement ‘Calcined Clay Cement’ after successful transition to hydraulic cement, 2) RESOURCE USE: Accelerating the expansion of green mining practice to maximize resource-efficiency according government policy, 3) CIRCULAR ECONOMY: Building an integrated ecosystem and turning waste to value through cement production process according to bio-green-circular economy, and 4) ENERGY TRANSITION: Leveraging innovation for energy transition of cement industry. TCMA is cement manufacturer-led, Thai leading cement manufacturers coalition advocating for cement industry being basic infrastructure of the country development, becoming environmentally friendly industry, committing to social responsibilities engagement and leading towards sustainable development. |
