TCMA and NXPO initiate CO2-to-Methanol Project

Dr. Chana Poomee, Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and Dr. Kitipong Promwong, Director of the Office of National Higher Education Science Research and Innovation Policy Council (NXPO) signed the “Memorandum of Understanding on Collaborative Action on Climate Change and Develop Net Zero Emission Innovation Zone in SARABURI SANDBOX.” This signed MOU has shown progress step of collective action for SARABURI SANDBOX LOW CARBON CITY, where the cement industry is propelled with innovation and technology to realize energy transition, moving towards Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete. The cooperation will also leverage the domestic and international networks of innovation, technology, and funding to develop innovation zone Net Zero Emission in SARABURI SANDBOX.

TCMA-UNIDO-GCCA Collaboration to Decarbonize Cement and Concrete Sectors in Thailand

The joint discussion among Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA)-led by Dr. Chana Poomee, TCMA Chairman, UNIDO Headquarter -led by Ms. Rasha Abdrabu, UNIDO's Project Coordinator, and Global Cement and Concrete Association-led by Mr. Thomas Guillot, GCCA Chief Executive has been organized to find tune the first year of project action under Canada grant green fund to accelerate decarbonizing Thai cement and concrete sectors in alignment with Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap and Thailand's Nationally Determined Contribution Roadmap on Mitigation.
