Collaboration on Product Standards to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emission

Khun Mongkon Pornchunchoovong, member of Working Group TCMA on Sustainability, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) and the team visited  Khun Banjong Sukreetha, Secretary-General of Thailand Industrial Standard Institute (TISI), Ministry of Industry to seek support in expedite applying TIS 2594-a low carbon cement into all concrete standards. This action will be a contribution of TISI to the achievement of Thailand greenhouse gas emission reduction in Industrial Processes and Product Use (IPPU) Sector-Clinker Substitution.

‘MISSION 2023’ The joint collaboration on climate change in industrial processes and product use (IPPU) sector among 25 organizations from government, professional, industry and academic with 6 ministries support aimed to attain the reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission from clinker substitution measure not less than 1,000,000 ton CO2 within the year 2023 by implementing a low carbon cement ‘Hydraulic Cement’ in all construction projects.
