‘Hydraulic Cement’- a Low Carbon Cement of Standard TIS 2594

  August 24-26, 2022, Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) conveyed a clear message to audiences of the 27th National Convention on Civil Engineering (NCCE), hosted by the Engineering Institute of Thailand (EIT) under H.M. The King’s Patronage in collaboration with University of Phayao that ‘Hydraulic Cement’- a low carbon cement of standard TIS 2594 and high performance for sustainable construction will be the primary cement in a wide range of construction in Thailand from beginning of 2024 onwards. Aiming at with this action-so called ‘MISSION 2023’, cement industry will help increasing the country’s potential in reducing GHG emission at 1,000,000 ton-CO2 in 2023.

‘MISSION 2023’ The joint collaboration on climate change in industrial processes and product use (IPPU) sector among 25 organizations from government, professional, industry and academic with 6 ministries support aimed to attain the reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emission from clinker substitution measure not less than 1,000,000 ton CO2 within the year 2023 by implementing a low carbon cement ‘Hydraulic Cement’ in all construction projects.
