April 20, 2018: Khun Siva Mahasandana, Chairman of Thailand Fellowship of Cement Manufacturers (TFCM)-the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) and also Chairman of Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) together with the executive representatives of TFCM and TCMA, who are Thai cement manufacturers had a serious discussion on the impact of the Mineral Act B.E. 2560 and requested strong help from FTI and Industry Sub-Commission, the National Legislative Assembly – Chair by Khun Supant Mongkolsuthree. TFCM and TCMA made a strong request to accelerate proceed all applications, which complied applicable laws, regulations and procedures since Mineral Act B.E. 2510 still effective, without delay or interrupt due to the government's new procedures. The delay of approval will severely impact the mineral-based industry as a major raw material in the production process and expand throughout construction industry due to the shortage of raw material. Eventually, Thailand infrastructure mega projects cannot achieve plan as set. |
