March 29, 2018: Khun Siva Mahasandana, TCMA’s Chairman delivered key message of cement industry to government and authorities concerned for development plan of Thailand 4.0 during the seminar on “Warning…Thailand Mega Projects and Construction Materials”, which presided over by Dr. Pairin Chuchotethavorn, Deputy Minister of Transport on March 29, 2018 at the Emerald Hotel, Bangkok. Concession renewal, since new Mineral Act B.E. 2560 implemented recently, is a key challenge for cement supply to Thailand mega projects, which expect to consume cement at least 21 million tons during projects running. This number will be multiplied with investment in commercial and industrial segments i.e. large commercial projects, industrial sector and urbanization trend. TCMA requested the government authorities concerned to make a clear procedure and timeline for concession approval to help business continuity.
